Several Openings Still Available For Audubon’s Upcoming Music Camp
Jamestown Audubon Center and Nature Society summer day camps have begun, with openings available in the Music Camp.
Music Camp is open for all children who will enter pre-kindergarten through second grade this fall.
The collaboration between Audubon and the Community Music Project features crafts, nature exploration and music. Campers will dance, sing and learn about musical instruments through listening and playing.
Based on an internationally known curriculum called “Nature Trail” from Musikgarten, the camp is from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday through Friday, Aug. 6-9,
A small amount of campership money is still available for families who have a financial need.
Scholarships are provided by National Audubon and Wild Birds Unlimited, the Hill and Dale Garden Club of Warren, the Kiwanis Club of Jamestown, Bob and Kathy Frucella, and several other individual donors.
Audubon’s education sponsors, including the Carnahan Jackson Foundation, the Johnson Foundation, the Jessie Smith Darrah Fund, the Hultquist Foundation, and the Holmberg Foundation, help keep the prices of camps and other programs affordable.
The Audubon Center and Sanctuary is at 1600 Riverside Road, one-quarter mile east of Route 62 between Jamestown and Warren.
