Harmony Historical Society To Meet Tuesday
The Harmony Historical Society will meet on Tuesday at 6 p.m. for a dinner meeting. It will be a tureen style dinner. Anyone interested in attending is asked to bring a dish to pass and their own table service.
Following dinner, a program entitled “St. Mary’s Cemetery Restoration Project” will be presented. Dr. Gary Olson will talk about the work he and other volunteers are doing to restore this cemetery near Frewsburg.
The society met on June 18 for a dinner meeting. Following dinner, John Sipos, Cassadaga historian, discussed the history of Cassadaga. The society meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. for a business meeting; and also the third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. for a dinner meeting. Programs follow the dinner at 7 p.m.
The society is currently seeking demonstrators and vendors to come to the Fall Festival. The Fall Festival is held the first weekend in October. The society is also asking members to send in favorite recipes so they can be included in the new cookbook. Quilt raffle tickets are now available for sale. The Tickets are $2 each or three for $5. The name of the 2013 Fall Festival Quilt is “Autumn Memories.” Winning ticket will be drawn on the last day of the festival.
