Rotary Golf Tourney Results Announced

Ed Shults Jr., Jake Kane, Hal Reisenfeld and Jim McMahon won the two-ball, best-ball Rotary Golf Charity Classic at Moon Brook Country Club with a 125 net on Monday.

The champions in the Scramble Division were Jennifer Satalino, Jon Scalise, Nick Lyons and Mike Roberts.

Bryan Van Ord, Kevin Porter, Jim Caronia and David Young were second with a 126 net followed by the team of Tom Holt, Rhoe Henderson, Mike McElrath and Gordy Black with a 129 net.

Ron Pappalardo, Russ Ecklund, Phil Cala and Jon Gren were fourth with a 130 net.

Mike Bird, Chris Sandberg, Jerome Lee Yaw and Mike Warren were second in the Scramble while next were Dan Overcash, Dick Piper, Jon Saff and Chuck Hudson.

Jon Castle, Jim Smith, Alex Johnson and Randy Ordines were fourth.

Chris Sandberg was closest to the line on No. 3, Chad Black closest to the pin on No. 4, Drew Weaver closest to the pin on No. 8 and the longest drive on fairway No. 10, Tracy Buck closest to the line on No. 13 and Chuck Hudson closest to the line on No. 17.

The proceeds from the event, which is held the second Monday of July, support many projects both locally and internationally.

The Rotary Club of Jamestown has underwritten the Veterans Park project, the WCA Emergency Department., Chautauqua Lake weed control, local literacy projects, international youth exchange, worldwide polio eradication, water wells in Haiti and Niger, and the purchase of shelter boxes for emergency uses in areas of flood, earthquakes, etc.

This event has successfully funded the Wendy Sharp Fund at the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation that provides camp experiences for disabled people through the Resource Center’s New Horizons at YMCA’s Camp Onyahsa.
