Area Police Reports


Karen L. Brown, 39, was charged at 1:22 a.m. on Tuesday with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se and equipment violation. Officers stopped a vehicle in the area of Price and Winsor streets for an equipment violation. Brown was identified as the driver and later found to be intoxicated. She was transported to Jamestown City Jail where a breath sample found her blood alcohol level over twice the legal limit. Brown was released with appearance tickets to be in Jamestown Court at a later date.


Leslie A. Bamburoski, 18, of Pleasantview Avenue, Lakewood, was charged at 12:35 a.m. on Friday with criminal possession of a forged instrument, obstructing governmental administration, second-degree harassment and underage possession of alcohol. Officers located a backpack that contained beer and a fake Pennsylvania driver’s license. Officers went to Bamburoski’s residence and she was later taken into custody. During that time, police said she allegedly became combative and started to slap and kick at an officer. Bamburoski was arraigned and committed to Chautauqua County Jail on $5,000 bail.
