UCC To Host Webinar Tuesday

United Christian Advocacy Network will host a group webinar viewing on Tuesday at Christ First United Methodist Church, 663 Lakeview Ave., Jamestown. The webinar begins at 2 p.m. followed by a short discussion. The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention and the U.S. Department of Justice Center for Faith-Based & Neighborhood Partnerships will present the Webinar “Faith in Action: Working with Children of Incarcerated Parents.” The 90-minute Webinar will inform faith-based and community leaders about trends in youth delinquency, substance abuse, and poor academic attainment due to parent incarceration and resulting absence. New Patient

Orientation Set

CHEEKTOWAGA – The Lupus Alliance of Upstate New York will hold a New Patient Orientation meeting from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Lupus Alliance office, 3871 Harlem Road, Cheektowaga. The meeting is open to all newly diagnosed lupus patients, their families and friends. Current literature will be available, a video will be shown and a question and answer period will follow. There is no charge to attend, but reservations are required; call the Lupus Alliance at 835-7161.

Book Sale To Begin Friday

BEMUS POINT – The Bemus Point Library will be holding its annual book sale Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The bake sale will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. until sold out. Books are $2 for hardcovers and $1 for paperbacks. The bag sale will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday and continue until 5 p.m. This is a major fundraiser for the library. FCS Class Of ’61 To Have Breakfast

Hazeltine Library Open House Set

BUSTI – The Hazeltine Public Library in Busti recently received grants from The Libri Foundation and The Ralph C. Sheldon Foundation for books for children of all ages. An open house and story time will be held in celebration at the library on Thursday from noon-1 p.m. Parents and children are encouraged to come to the library to check out the new books. Ellery Announces Summer Concerts

GREENHURST – The Ellery Town Board has released the 2013 Summer Concert Schedule to be held at the Town of Ellery Park in Greenhurst on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The concerts are as follows: July 11, Kokomo Band; July 18, Wind River Band; July 25, Barbara Jean; Aug. 1, Raz and Friends; Aug. 8, Deuble & Vogan; Aug. 15, Infinity Collective Groove; and Aug. 29, Kokomo Band.
