ATV Accident Sends Woman To Hospital
BEMUS POINT – A woman was flown to an Erie, Pa., hospital following an ATV accident in Bemus Point on Sunday evening.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Lori Lang, no age or address given, was taken by helicopter to Hamot Medical Center around 6:30 p.m. after suffering head, chest and back injuries. Sheriff’s deputies said Lang was sitting on a picnic table when Kristen R. Brown, of Amherst, accidentally hit the throttle instead of the brake on the ATV and struck the table.
The ATV and picnic table came to rest on top of Lang, sheriff’s deputies said.
The ATV belonged to Julieann Brown, who was a passenger, and the crash took place on her Mahanna Road property, a police report said. Kristen Brown and Julieann Brown were not injured in the crash.
No further information from the Sheriff’s Office was available by press time Sunday. The investigation is ongoing.
