Youth Baseball


Aaron Hair, Austin Lindstrom and Brayden Coleson combined on a no-hitter with 11 strikeouts to lead Frewsburg over Valley, 20-0, in a four-inning game Saturday.

Hair led the offense with three hits while Brayden Coleson and Traden Gray each had a pair of hits. Ryan Schrecengost also tripled for Frewsburg.

Mason Browning’s two-run double in the top of the fifth inning gave Gowanda a 7-0 lead and it held on to top Bemus Point, 9-8, on Saturday.

Jessie Heinz added a triple for Gowanda.

Peter Auer had two hits while Gehrig Myles, Josh Lockwood and Ayden Regal each singled for Bemus Point, which had the tying at third base when the final out was made.

Bemus Point scored nine runs on five hits in the top of the sixth inning for a come-from-behind 16-12 win over Falconer on Sunday.

Ayden Reagle, Josh Lockwood, Nick Brunenavs, Gehrig Myles and Drew Keleman led the Bemus Point offense with a hit apiece.

Alex Lillie had three hits, Jason Dustin had two hits with a triple and Jacob Payne had two hits for Falconer.

Aaron Hair, Traden Gray and Brayden Coleson combined on a three-hitter with 12 strikeouts as Frewsburg took a 7-0 lead en route to a 12-3 win Sunday.

Gray led the offense with three hits, including a double, while Coleson had two hits with a double. Aiden Cardone, Hair and Ryan Schrecengost each had a pair of hits in the victory.


In the quarterfinals of the Mentor (Ohio) Firecracker Classic, the Jamestown Tigers shut out West Park, 13-0.

Robbie Burgess had three singles and two RBIs for the Tigers while Brandon Johnston and Andrew Latona collected two singles each. Chris Haase had a single, a double and two RBIs; Winfred Nelson had two singles and two RBIs; Jacob Kindberg had a single, a double and three RBIs; and Bryce Raymond had a double,

Johnston, Chad Nelson, Raymond and Latona combined for nine strikeouts in the one-hit shutout.

Then the Tigers lost to Ohio Stealers, 11-1, in the semifinals.

The Tigers trailed only 4-1 going into bottom of fifth inning.

Haase had a double and a single while Kindberg had a double and Nelson had an RBI single.


The B&L Yankees defeated the Astros, 10-9.

Jonathan Brito had four singles for the Yankees while Joseph Valequez had two singles and a home run, and Joshua Donisi had singles.

For the Astros, Collin Wynn and Chad Sandberg had two hits each.
