Carolyn “Carrie” Triscari

Carolyn “Carrie” Triscari, 86, of Falconer, passed away Friday (July 5, 2013), in her home.

A lifelong area resident, she was born May 8, 1927, in Falconer, the daughter of the late Fred and Sarah Pace.

Carrie attended the former Our Lady of Loreto Parochial School and Falconer High School. In earlier years, she was employed by the former Gold Star Department Store and prior to retirement was employed by the Town Club. She was a member of the Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, St. Vincent DePaul Society of OLL and Falconer Senior Citizens.

Carrie enjoyed baking, knitting and crocheting, reading and most of all helping people in need with her words of encouragement and her bake goods. Her strength came from her devoted faith in God, and the many friendships she made. She was a true inspiration to all who knew her.

Surviving is her son, Thomas (Terry) Triscari of Falconer: two grandchildren: Eric Kiser and Daniel Kiser; two great-grandchildren: Clayton Kiser and Tejan Kiser; and a sister, Nina Riolo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sebastian J. “Foggy” Triscari, whom she married Nov. 27, 1947, in Falconer, and who died March 24, 2002; a daughter, JoMarie Kiser, who died Jan. 24, 1990; two brothers: Fred and Ralph Pace; and two sisters: Sarah Perry and Josephine Camarata.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, Falconer. The Rev. Joseph Jananczek, pastor of the church, will be celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Altar and Rosary Society of OLL will conduct a Rosary service at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. A Christian Wake service will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
