The Jamestown Tigers lost a 7-1 exhibition game Tuesday night to the Niagara Power at Sal Maglie Stadium in Niagara Falls.

Bryce Raymond had two hits, and Chris Haase, Chad Nelson, Jeff Miller, Brandon Johnston and Coby Carder one each for the Tigers.

The Tigers scored their lone run in the fifth inning when Nelson singled, took two bases on a passed ball and scored on Miller’s single.

The Tigers will be back in action at the annual Firecracker Open in Mentor, Ohio, where they’ll open Friday at 1:25 p.m against the NEO Rebels followed by a game 3:45 p.m., against the Kingsville Renegades.


A-Bat won four of six games to finish third in the annual Midseason Tournament.

Doug Trapani and Nekyle Taylor drilled three hits with a home run and Bill Lawson, Ryan Anderson and Rich Allen three hits as well in the 18-7 victory over the Jock Shop.

Lawson, Anderson and Allen hit triples while Cortland Haines, Steve Trapani and Alex Pickett had three singles in the win.

Andy Studd homered for the Jock Shop.

Taylor connected for four hits with a triple and double in the win over B&D Construction.

Doug Trapani and Dave Saxton had three hits with a home run, Lawson two hits with a double and Adam Boe added two singles for the winners.

A-Bat decisioned KIA, 15-4, with Doug Trapani and Haines having three hits with a home run each.

Lawson added two hits with a triple, Wil Sanchez two hits with a double, and Steve Trapani, Pickett and Allen two hits with a double in the victory. Taylor contributed a home run.

Finally, A-Bat defeated Southside Redemption, 17-13, with Taylor having three hits with a homer and a double.

Sanchez stroked two hits with a double while Tom Brown and Haines chipped in with three singles for A-Bat.

For Southside Redemption, Kyle Jenkins had three hits with a home run, Ken Dirling two hits with a double and Kenny Dirling with a triple.
