Decade Reunion Set For July 13

All classmates from Southwestern Central School classes from 1960-70 are invited to attend the decade reunion Saturday, July 13. The party will be held at the Celoron Legion, 26 Jackson Ave., West Ellicott. Cocktails and appetizers will commence at 6 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner starting at 7. Following dinner, there will be an open blast from the past dance. Music will be provided by DJ’s Unlimited with giveaways, prizes and special 1960s events. AARP Group

To Meet July 9

AARP Chapter 334 will meet in the memorial park at Tanglewood Manor at noon July 9. A picnic lunch of hot dogs and hamburgers, plus all the trimmings including dessert and beverage, will be provided at a cost of $3 per person. The program, presented by the Tanglewood staff, will detail its many services. A guided tour will be offered. Area seniors, ages 50 and over, are welcome. Those who plan to attend should phone 487-0709 no later than Sunday.

Second Session Begins At JCC

Jamestown Community College’s second summer session, July 8-Aug. 15, will offer day and evening courses as well as online learning opportunities at JCC’s Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses and North County and Warren centers. In-person registration will be conducted until Friday for Summer Session II. Online course registration and a complete listing of courses is available at sunyjcc.edu/summer. Walking Tour Continues Today

Mayor Sam Teresi will hold the next in his series of Neighborhood Walking Tours today at 6:30 p.m. This tour will cover Dearing Avenue from Frink Avenue to Falconer Street. The door-to-door visit will provide residents with an opportunity to express comments or concerns in a one-on-one environment with the mayor.

Healing Room Closed For Season

Chautauqua Healing Rooms are closed for the summer. They will reopen Sept. 5 at Healing Word Church,1006 W. Third St., Thursdays, 7-9 p.m. If you need prayer, appointments will be taken; call 487-7219.

Thrift Store To Repoen July 10

St. James Thrift Store, 141 Institute St., Jamestown, will be closed this week for the holiday. The store will reopen Wednesday, July 10. Hours are Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. RSVP volunteers will be on hand to help customers. Price remains $2 per bag. Proceeds are used to help those in need.

Thule Lodge

To Hold Dinner

BEMUS POINT – The Thule Lodge, located at 4123 Pancake Hill Road, will hold a fish dinner Friday from 5-7 p.m. Fish will be broiled or breaded or pan fried. In addition to a fish dinner, a second choice meal will be a roast beef dinner. The dinner is open to everyone, and all are welcome.
