Laurence “Larry” C. Wells, II

BLASDELL – Laurence “Larry” C. Wells, II, 35, of Arthur Avenue, Blasdell, formerly of Leon and Cherry Creek, died unexpectedly, Saturday, June 29, at Mercy Hospital, Buffalo. He was born in Dunkirk, on Sept. 22, 1977, the son of Laurence S. (Vicki) Wells of Jamestown and William (Debra Farner) Mansfield, of Gowanda.

Mr. Wells was a graduate of Pine Valley Central School, class of 1996, a graduate of SUNY at Fredonia with a Bachelor of Science in elementary edu-cation in 2000 and received his master’s degree from Walden University in 2004. He currently worked as manager at Toys R Us in Hamburg, for seven years and previously taught for the Frontier and Hamburg school districts. Mr. Wells was an avid Yankees, Bills, Sabres and Ohio State basketball fan.

Surviving besides his parents are his wife, Jill A. (Lucas) Wells, of Blasdell, whom he married July 31, 2004, at Merritt Estate Winery, Forestville, a daughter, Madison Wells, of living at home and a brother, Robbie Wells, of Dunkirk. Also surviving are his father and mother-in-law Ronald (Debra) Lucas of South Day-ton, several aunts, uncles, cousins, two nieces and two nephews. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Earl (Lucille) Farner and by his paternal grandparents Laurence C. (Mary) Wells, Sr.

Friends are welcome to call at the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main St., Forestville, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from where Funeral Services will be held Thursday morning at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Daniel Rumfelt, chaplain of Lutheran Social Services, Jamestown, officiating.
