Salamanca Board To Meet Tuesday

SALAMANCA – The Salamanca City Central School District Board of Education will hold its reorganizational meeting Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Large Group Instruction Room, 50 Iroquois Drive, Salamanca. The public is invited to attend.

Blood Drive Set For Wednesday

CASSADAGA – The Cassadaga Fire Department Auxiliary will host Community Blood Drive on Wednesday at the Mill Street Community Building from 3-6 p.m. The auxiliary will award a $25 gas card to a local winner. All donors will also be entered into a drawing for a $250 gas card awarded by the Community Blood Drive during the month of July.

Chicken Barbecue Set For Thursday

FINDLEY LAKE – The Findley Lake Volunteer Fire Department will host a craft show and chicken barbecue on Thursday at the fire hall on Main Street, Findley Lake. The craft show will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information about renting tables, call Randy Hamilton at 269-9695 or Tammy Hamilton at 269-4171. The chicken barbecue will be from noon until the food is gone. Tickets are $8.50 for adults, $6.50 for children or a half-chicken meal for $5. Take-out orders are available. Proceeds from both events will benefit the fire department.

Planning Board To Meet Wednesday

The Chautauqua County Department of Planning and Economic Development will hold a meeting of the Chautauqua County Land Bank Corporation on Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the CCIDA Board Room, 200 Harrison St., Jamestown. This meeting of the CCLBC is being conducted to discuss business associated with the disposition of Land Bank Properties and other official business as required The public is invited to attend. TOPS Weigh-In Set For Wednesday

Thirty-one TOPS 721 Jamestown members weighed in recently. Best losers were Donna Borst, TOPS, who also received free dues and Joanne Anderson, KOPS. Other prize winners were Barb Linza, Carol Kirkpatrick and Darrylin Sperry. Weigh-in only will be from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on Wednesday in the Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church, corner of South Main and Cole and also on July 11 at 610 W. Seventh St., Jamestown. Book Sale

Begins Friday

MAYVILLE – The Mayville Library’s annual summer book sale will be held Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A bag sale will be held on Saturday afternoon. Class Reunion

Set For July 6

The Jamestown High School Class of 1978 35th class reunion will be held on July 6 at the Gateway Station. Events will include an “ice breaker” on Friday, a tour of Jamestown High School and the establishment of a memorial scholarship fund in honor of classmates who have died. It is the goal of the committee to use and highlight Jamestown businesses and reach out to every class member.
