Applebee’s To Host CRCF Fundraiser
LAKEWOOD – On Wednesday, Applebee’s restaurant will donate 10 percent of checks to the Caring and Giving Campaign at the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation when a “Dining to Donate” voucher is presented. All proceeds will benefit emerging community needs. Vouchers are available by calling the foundation office at 661-3390 or by visiting their Facebook page at facebook.com/crcfonline. Applebee’s is located at 340 E. Fairmount Ave. in Lakewood and is open from 11 a.m. until midnight.
Soil & Water District Directors To Meet
The Chautauqua County Soil & Water Conservation District directors will hold their regular meeting Thursday at 8:30 a.m. at the district office, 3542 Turner Road, Jamestown.
Westside Women To Meet For Lunch
LAKEWOOD – The Westside Women’s Club will meet for a noon lunch on Friday in Emeritus of Lakewood. Members will tour the facility, and games will follow. Hostesses will be Shirley Edgren and Chris Jones. Kathi Conti, esthetician and owner of A Kneaded Escape, presented the program at a recent meeting held in Bethel Lutheran Church and attended by 19 members.
Immanuel Lutheran Church To Hold Sale
Immanuel Lutheran Church, 556 E. Second St., Jamestown, will hold a garage sale fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday in the parking lot. A large selection of merchandise will be for sale, including clothing, household items, books, toys, games and holiday items. Hot dogs, beverages and baked goods will also be available for purchase. The event will take place rain or shine. Proceeds from the sale will go toward repairing the church’s parking lot.
SWCS Class Of ’56 To Reunite Saturday
The Southwestern Central School Class Of 1956 will meet for a reunion dinner at 6 p.m. Saturday in Alfie’s restaurant.
Bryce To Lead
Tim Bryce, noted Florida author and lecturer, will bring his latest book and solutions to Chautauqua County on Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at Mount Moriah Lodge on Baker Street Extension. This seminar will give one the tools to uplift the moral structure in one’s life and community. This conference will invest proceeds into the Chautauqua District Safety Identification Program. The Family History Center located at 851 Forest Ave. has expanded hours of operation. New hours are 7-9 p.m. Wednesdays and 9 a.m. to noon Thursdays.
