Timberbuilt To Celebrate 20th Anniversary Saturday
ELLICOTTVILLE – Mixing business with pleasure is how Timberbuilt officials will be celebrating their 20th anniversary.
On Saturday, the business that makes earth-friendly timber-frame homes will be celebrating its anniversary with a free concert open to the public at Ellicottville Brewing Company. EBC, located at 28-30 Monroe St., Ellicottville, is the location for the birthday bash because Timberbuilt created a brewery addition, beer garden and dining design for the business.
George Klemens, Timberbuilt owner, and his partner, Brian Kempistry, have created a “Home Tour Birthday Bash” for the celebration in Ellicottville. It will feature a walking/driving tour of Timberbuilt homes, many hosted by the builders who partnered in the construction of the distinctive homes. The tours will be held between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. The birthday bash will start at 5 p.m. at Ellicottville Brewing Company with a tour. The event will be topped off at 6 p.m. with a free-to-the-public “porch concert” featuring Montana folk singer/songwriter Ben Bullington at the brewery, which is the site of Timberbuilt’s latest commercial building project. According to Kempisty, EBC is the perfect spot to celebrate two decades of Timberbuilt success.
“The Timberbuilt addition we recently completed for EBC is a true testament to the beauty and quality of our product,” Kempisty said. “That’s why we are excited to invite Western New Yorkers to experience this amazing brew pub and beer garden and to enjoy our birthday bash porch concert with Ben Bullington who, by the way, is a Timberbuilt homeowner as well.”
Peter Kreinheder, EBC operator, said their partnership with Timberbuilt was significant in finding the right design for the brewery.
“We created the brewery addition, beer garden and dining design in a manner to elevate and deliver a product unique to Ellicottville,” he said. “Within that ideal, we wanted to remain true to the level of excellence we established at EBC when we first opened our doors. Partnering with Timberbuilt allowed us to set that tone from the moment EBC customers park in front of our building and enter into the massive and striking Timberbuilt construction. It’s quality all the way.”
Klemens said 20 years ago he was working in the home building industry and was unhappy with the product in both design and quality.
“Then I randomly found a book about timber homes in the library and that was it,” he said. “I knew these were the type of energy-efficient and solid-value buildings that I wanted to design and create. Now, 20 years later, Timberbuilt homes and commercial buildings are spread across the United States and Canada, and we think that’s achievement worthy of a special birthday celebration.”
