Roberta M. Culver

Mrs. Roberta M. Culver, 73, Robbins, N.C., passed into the next life at 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2013, in Duke Medical Center, Durham, N.C., following a brief illness. She was born Oct. 10, 1939, in Sheffield to the late George and Madeline Seth Schultz.

A former a resident of Sheffield and Corry, Roberta has lived in Robbins, N.C., since 1994. She was working as a bookkeeper for Pinehurst United Methodist and belonged to the American Legion La-dies Auxillary. As an active member of Sacred Heart Church, Pinehurst, N.C., Roberta made Rosaries and was active in Women of the Sacred Heart. Her many interests included collect-ables and antiques.

She is survived by her husband, Richard D. Culver, whom she married Sept. 24, 1988, at St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Sheffield; two sons, Urban Biers, Russell and Dana Biers, Texas; and four grandchildren, Rachel, Seth, Joshua and Hannah Biers.

In addition to her parents, Roberta was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 24, 2013, at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Sheffield with Reverend Father John R. Neff, pastor, officiating. Burial will following in St. Joseph Cemetery, Warren. Friends will be received at the Borden-Lloyd Funeral Home, Sunday, June 23, 2013, from 6-8 p.m.
