JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Matthew W. Bailer, 43, of Holman Street was charged at 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday with second-degree criminal trespassing. Police responded to a burglary in progress at Holman Street. Officers spoke with residents, who stated they could hear arguing in the upstairs apartment, which was vacant. A K-9 unit was called, and the occupants surrendered without incident. Bailer was transported to Jamestown City Jail awaiting arraignment.
Barclay B. Joslyn, 45, was charged at 12:21 a.m. on Thursday with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI and inadequate headlights. Officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle with one headlight not working. Joslyn was found to be intoxicated and had a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or greater. He was held pending arraignment.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
HANOVER – Tinesha G. Kenny, 23, of Forestville was charged at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday with fourth-degree criminal mischief. Police learned Kenny broke a window during an argument that took place in Forestville. Kenny was issued an appearance ticket to be in Hanover Court at a later date.
SILVER CREEK – Linda S. Douglas, 55, of Lake Avenue was charged at 6:28 p.m. on Wednesday with second-degree harassment. Police learned Douglas yelled obscenities at a victim on numerous occasions. Douglas was issued an appearance ticket to be in Silver Creek Court at a later date.
ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
Michael Markovich, 29, of Maple Street was charged on June 17 with fourth-degree grand larceny. Police were called to McDonald’s, North Main Street Extension, for a report of a stolen wallet. An investigation led to Markovich. He was issued an appearance ticket and will be in Ellicott Court at a later date.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
CHERRY CREEK – Frank Cartalano, 57, of Crestview Drive was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated. Troopers stopped Cartalano for moving from a lane unsafely on Route 60 in Ellicott. He was taken into custody and was found to have a blood alcohol content of .24 percent. He was released with traffic tickets and will be in Ellicott Court on June 26.
