Infinity Welcomes Instructors

Infinity Visual and Performing Arts has added new instructors to its music program: Jacob Swanson and Victoria Campbell.

Swanson holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the State University of New York at Fredonia, where he studied with Wildy Zumwalt. He has also pursued independent study in the United States and Germany with saxophonist, Carina Rascher.

Swanson has been seen on concert series in the United States, Puerto Rico, Germany and Switzerland and performed on live radio in Rochester and in Jamestown. Swanson has performed with small ensembles throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and Europe. He has collaborated extensively with saxophonist, Sarah Marchitelli. Swanson frequently performs programs of duo literature with Marchitelli as the saxophone duo Jake&Sarah. The two have collaborated with several composers to create new works for two saxophones – some with electronic media.

Swanson is the high school instrumental music teacher at the Gowanda Central School District and has taught young saxophonists in schools across New York state and in Puerto Rico.

Campbell attended Houghton College: Greatbatch School of Music, where she received a bachelor’s degree in music education in May 2012. She is the director of two choirs: one in Bemus Point, the other in Little Valley. She has performed in traveling collegiate choirs, operas and musicals. She currently performs in the Cattaraugus and Chautauqua county areas.
