Phillips — Higdon
Elisabeth Lauren Higdon and Jesse David Phillips exchanged wedding vows on March 2, 2013, at The People’s Church in Franklin, Tenn. The Rev. Ed Alexander performed the ceremony. Music was provided by a string quartet composed of students from Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn.
The bride is the daughter of William and Janice Higdon of Franklin, Tenn. Her husband is the son of Andrew and Linnea Phillips of Fairview, Tenn., formerly of Lakewood, N.Y., and the grandson of George and Beverly Littlefield of Frewsburg, N.Y., and the late Glenn and Ethel Phillips of Jamestown, N.Y.
Stephanie Higdon, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Katherine Offutt, cousin of the bride, and Hannah Phillips, sister of the groom. Flower girls were Claire Offutt and Emily Offutt, cousins of the bride.
Best man was Joel Phillips, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Ethan Phillips, brother of the groom and Michael Higdon, brother of the bride. Ushers were Christopher Higdon, brother of the bride, Eli Phillips, brother of the groom, and John Offutt, cousin of the bride. Ring bearers were James Offutt and William Offutt.
The bride is a 2011 home school graduate of Gateway Christian Schools and is pursuing a degree in music education at Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn. Her husband is a 2009 home school graduate of Gateway Christian School and a graduate of Nashville State Community College with degrees in culinary arts in 2011 and business administration in 2012. He is employed as a chef with Longhorn Steakhouse in Cleveland, Tenn.
They honeymooned in the Smoky Mountains in Gatlinburg.
They are living in Cleveland, Tenn.
