Tom Gooch Benefit Committee Thanks You!

To The Reader’s Forum:

A committee of close childhood friends of Tom Gooch of Ashville held a benefit on Saturday, May 25th, at the American Legion in Mayville.

Tom has dealt with diabetes for years and as a result is now faced with ESRD (End Stage Renal Disease). What is ESRD? ESRD is when the kidneys stop working well enough for you to live without dialysis or a transplant. This kind of kidney failure is permanent and cannot be fixed. Most cases of ESRD are caused by diabetes or high blood pressure.

We would like to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for all the generous donations and for such an amazing turnout of friends, family and community. There are so many in need but it is always amazing how our little communities rally together – thank you so very much for all that you did to show such wonderful support to the Gooch family.

A person with ESRD will eventually need dialysis or a kidney transplant to live. If you are interested in being a living donor, please call 716-898-5001. You will be making a life-saving difference in someone’s life.
