Jamestown YMCA Adds Eight New Members To Board

Eight YMCA board members were recently elected at the Jamestown Area YMCAs annual meeting held recently at The Dr. Lillian V. Ney Renaissance Center.

These include Myra Blasius, Susan Drago, J. Bryce Ireland, Alfonso Pagan, Terry Papincak, Lyle Roof, Fran Sirianni and Chip Swanson.

Blasius is an attorney with Lundberg Law offices in Jamestown. She is a member of the Jamestown Bar Association, Lakewood Library board member, Creche member, First Presbyterian Church member and Village of Lakewood Zoning Board of Appeals member. She lives in Lakewood with her husband Jonathan and has two children, Andrew and Emma.

Drago is a registered nurse with S.G. Love Elementary School. She is the chairperson for the Chautauqua County Youth Board, Far West Regional School Nurses Association, Lakewood Village Trustee and Deputy Mayor, Lakewood Rod and Gun member, Sacred heart RC Church member, and has been a YMCA member for over 25 years. She resides in Lakewood with her husband Louis and has three daughters, Kelly, Kaitlin and Madeline.

Ireland works at Alliance Advisory Group Inc. as a financial specialist. He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and lives in Erie with his wife Katie.

Pagan is a pastor at the Nueva Vida Covenant Church in Jamestown. He is the chairperson for the Eastside YMCA Advisory Committee and assistant chaplin of the Chautauqua County Jail. He is married to Yesenia Pagan and has three children, Adrian, Jayleen, and Jaylenette of Jamestown.

Papincak of Bemus Point is a controller at SKF Aeroengine. He is a certified management accountant and has two children, John and Christynne.

Roof is a chief information officer at Southern Chautauqua Federal Credit Union in Lakewood. He is a member, deacon and youth group leader at Hillcrest Baptist Church, Chautauqua leadership Network, Flyers Gymnastics meet facility coordinator and Web master. He resides in Jamestown with his wife Wendy and has three children, Jennifer, Andrew and Abigail.

Sirianni of Jamestown is a retired teacher of the Southwestern Central School and Catholic Academy of the Holy Family. He is also a member of the Holy Apostles Catholic Church. Married to Amy, he has three children, Mike, Jay and Nick.

Swanson is a sales manager at Levant Motors in Falconer and a volunteer boxing coach for the teen program at the Jamestown YMCA. Recently, he was honored with the YMCA Volunteer of the Year Award. He is a member of USA boxing and lives in Bemus Point with his wife Cindy. He has two children, Kyle and Jamie

Fred Baker, Dan Bracey, Dawn Hogan and Dan Soderberg were recognized for their service to the YMCA as outgoing board members. Joelle Washer is in her second board term while Valerie Ells was honored as outgoing board president.

The new executive slate of officers include Doug Schutte, president; Angelo Cimo, vice president; George Panebianco, vice president; Ryan Rambacher, vice president; Joelle Washer, vice president; Christopher Smith, treasurer; and Holly Hannon, secretary.
