Lakewood Church To Host Concert

LAKEWOOD – Tim Zimmerman and the King’s Brass will be appearing in concert at Lakewood Baptist Church, 150 Erie St., in Lakewood on Thursday at 7 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public. A free-will offering will be taken. Tim Zimmerman and The King’s Brass present hymn classics with a contemporary flair. The King’s Brass features three trumpets, three trombones, a tuba, percussion and keyboards. These instruments blend together to create a time of innovative worship. This year the group will be celebrating their 35th anniversary tour. As a result, The King’s Brass will be introducing their 16th recording titled “The Best of Tim Zimmerman and The King’s Brass – The First 35 Years.” This CD, released on the Summit Records label (summitrecords.com), features the groups favorites from their past CD releases as well as three new bonus selections.

Board To Meet

FREWSBURG – The Frewsburg Central School Board of Education will meet on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Middle/High School Library. The public is welcome to attend.

Reservations Due By Thursday

The Carroll Senior Citizens will meet at 12:30 p.m. Monday at the Frewsburg American Legion for a soup-and-sandwich luncheon. The cost is $5 per person and reservations must be made by Thursday by calling Mary Himes at 569-6110. The luncheon will be followed by the regular meeting at 1 p.m.

Set For Today

The Chautauqua Home Rehabilitation & Improvement Corporation board of directors invites the public to a reception welcoming Joshua Freifeld as its new executive director. The reception will take place today at the Jamestown Renaissance Center, 119-121 W. Third St., Jamestown from 4-6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

JHS Class Of ’46 To Meet Thursday

Falconer Class Of ’61 To Meet

FALCONER – The 1961 class from Falconer Central School will be joining together for breakfast at 9 a.m. Thursday at Friendly’s. They will meet regularly each month the second Thursday. Teachers are also welcome. For more information, call Pat Carr at 665-4343.

Blood Drives Begin Thursday

Blood drives will be held Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Chautauqua County Department of Social Services, 110 E. Fourth St., Jamestown; Tuesday from 8 a.m. to noon at WCA Hospital and Monday, June 24 from 3-6 p.m. at the Frewsburg American Legion. Everyone who signs in to donate blood at a Western New York Community Blood Bank drive in June will be entered to wina $500 home improvement gift card. One $25 card will also be given away each day at the mobile drives.
