Anniversary Set For Sunday
CASSADAGA – Bill and Vi Dorman’s 50th anniversary celebration and vow renewal will be held Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the Red House, 91 Frisbee Road, Cassadaga.
Thrift Shop Offers Summer Items
St. Luke’s Thrift Shop 409 Pine St., Jamestown, has a large selection of ladies’ summer clothing to size 3X. The shop is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. Donated items are received on those days as well as 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays. Proceeds from the shop, which is run by volunteers from St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, RSVP and the community, are donated to local outreach programs.
Reunion Set For Aug. 17
A reunion for relatives of Beulah Hess Dearing and Claude Wilbur Dearing will be held Saturday, Aug. 17, at Lakeside Park in Mayville at noon, with lunch at 1 and pictures at 2. Hot dogs and iced tea will be provided. Attendees should bring a dish to pass and table setting. For more information, call 753-5506.
Hospital Reunion Set For Aug. 10
Former Jamestown General Hospital employees will hold their 25th annual reunion on Saturday, Aug. 10, at Maplehurst Country Club, 1508 Big Tree Road, Lakewood. A social hour will be from 5-6 p.m. with a buffet dinner at 6 p.m. The cost is $22.50 a person, with spouses and guests welcome. There will be a cash bar and music and dancing from 7-10 p.m. hosted by Angelo Guiffre. Reservations with payment are due by Aug. 3 and can be sent to Sue Short, 269 Holder Road, Panama, NY 14767. Alumni Banquet Set For June 15

Legion To Host The Untouchables
LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood Legion will be hosting, The Untouchables on Friday, from 7-11 p.m. Dinners will be served from 5-9 p.m. Members and guests are welcome.
NY Cavalry To Perform
WESTFIELD – The 9th NY Cavalry reenactment group will be staging a Civil War encampment in Westfield’s Moore Park this weekend. The 9th Cavalry will set up camp on Friday evening with various activities scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday. There will also be a special appearance by confederates from the 64th Virginia, who will participate in a battle reenactment Saturday afternoon. New this year for the kids, a doll-making workshop is also slated for Saturday, beginning at noon. A reading of various letters from the Civil War will be held in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church at 2 p.m. There is no cost to attend any of the 9th Cavalry events.
