Cornell Announces County Clerk Candidacy
MAYVILLE – Chautauqua County Legislator Lori Cornell announced today her candidacy for county clerk. The two-term county legislator will make her second attempt to attain the office after challenging incumbent Sandy Sopak eight years ago.
“I am pleased to announce my candidacy for Chautauqua County clerk and look forward to the opportunity to convey my vision to the people of Chautauqua County,” Cornell said. “I love Chautauqua County. It’s a great place to live and raise a family, and I have dedicated my professional life to public service – to help create a stronger future for my children and yours. It would truly be an honor to succeed Mrs. Sopak, who I admire as one of the longest-serving female leaders in Chautauqua County.”
