Motorcycle Crash Sends Four To Hospital

LITTLE VALLEY – A crash involving two motorcycles on Fair Oak Street in Little Valley sent four people to the hospital Saturday afternoon.

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office said none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening. Police said Garry Pugrant, 61, of Bradford, Pa., allegedly failed to negotiate a curve around 1:30 p.m., causing another motorcycle, operated by Arthur McMurtrie, 50, of Lewis Run, Pa., to take evasive action.

Passengers on the motorcycles were Amy Pugrant, 47, and Susan McMurtrie, 49. All four were transported to Bradford Regional Medical Center, the Sheriff’s Office said in a police report.

Sheriff’s deputies were assisted by the Little Valley Fire Department, Seneca Nation of Indians Fire Department, Randolph Rescue Squad and a paramedic from Olean.

No further information on the accident was available.
