Area Police Report
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
PORTLAND – Alan Dejonghe, 62, of Dunkirk was charged at 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday with second-degree menacing. According to a police report, Dejonghe allegedly threatened another subject with a hand gun in the Van Buren area. He was issued an appearance ticket for Portland Court.
HANOVER – Robert K. Shumaker, 32, of Silver Creek was charged at 4 p.m. on Wednesday with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Shumaker was taken into custody stemming from an incident that occurred May 23. He was issued an appearance ticket to appear in court at a later date.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
DAYTON – Dustin L. Bennett, 20, was charged with sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a child. According to a police report, Bennett in February 2013 engaged in sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old female without the female’s consent. Police said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected. Bennett was arraigned in Persia Court and remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail to appear in court at a later date.
ALLEGANY – Lea S. Chandler, 20, of Windfall Road, was taken into custody at 10:30 p.m. on May 24 and charged with petit larceny for allegedly shoplifting at an Allegany Wal-Mart. She was issued an appearance ticket and is due back in court at a later date. Other charges are pending.
EAST OTTO – Courtney N. Kulczyk, 27, of Cattaraugus, and Allison G. Evenski, 23, of Honeyoe, were both charged at 6:15 p.m. on May 26 with third-degree assault stemming from a physical altercation. Both received minor injuries, a police report said. Kulczyk and Evenski were released on appearance tickets and are due back in court at a later date.
GREAT VALLEY – A 17-year-old female was charged at 10:30 p.m. on May 25 with underage consumption of alcohol. The youth was issued an appearance ticket and released. She is due in Great Valley Court at a later date.
GREAT VALLEY – David E. Graham, 30, of Salamanca, was charged at 10:30 p.m. on May 25 with serving alcohol to a minor. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due back in court at a later date.
SALAMANCA – Sunny J. Kennedy, 39, of East State Street, was taken into custody at 9:45 p.m. on May 23 on a bench warrant out of Cattaraugus County Court. Kennedy was transported to Cattaraugus County Jail awaiting further court action.
RANDOLPH – Kevin C. Callahan, 23, of Summit Street, was charged at 9 p.m. at May 25 with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree assault. Callahan allegedly kicked in the door of a residence and assaulted a male inside. He was arraigned in Randolph Court and remanded to County Jail.
