JHS Class Of ’48 To Meet June 18

The Jamestown High School class of 1948 Reunion Committee will meet June 18 at the First Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall at 9:30. The purpose is to mail out the invitations and finalize plans for its 65th reunion to be held at the Moon Brook Country Club on Aug. 24. All interested alumni are welcome to attend. Up-to-date addresses are needed for Carroll Anderson, Dorothy Harding Peterson, Adelaide Jones Grooms, Gary N. Lawson, Barbara Marsh Pizarro, Carl Portale, Jeanne Ford and Nancy Yngve Thoren. Cemetery Group To Meet Tuesday

STEAMBURG – The annual meeting of the Steamburg Cemetery will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Coldspring Town Hall in Steamburg.

Golf Scramble Set For June 8

The Southwestern Schools Education Foundation had originally planned the Trojan Open Golf Scramble for June 8 at Maplehurst Country Club as a fundraiser, however, due to low participation, it has been forced to cancel this event. All entry fees will be refunded. Any questions can be directed to Lori Radack, SSEF president, at 640-8340.

Library To Hold Program Monday

FREWSBURG – On Monday at 6:30 p.m. a special program about local emergency services will be presented at Myers Memorial Library. Town of Carroll Police Chief Timothy Wright, a Frewsburg Fire Department representative, and, if available, a county dispatcher will be present to talk about the services they provide and in particular the Smart911 program. There will be a question-and-answer time. The library is located at the corner of Falconer and Ivory streets in Frewsburg. For more information, call the library at 569-5515.

Annual Rural Cemetery Lunch

KIANTONE – The Chautauqua County Federation of Rural Cemeteries will meet starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, at the Kiantone Congregational Church. The meeting is hosted by the Maple Grove Cemetery. Registration is from 10-10:30 a.m. Business will be conducted between 10:30 a.m. and noon. At noon the luncheon will be served. The cost is $10 per person. Reservation for luncheon must be placed by Monday by calling 664-9475. The afternoon program will be conducted by Marsha Adams Cheney. Anyone is welcome to attend.
