Area Police Reports


ELLICOTT – James D. Adams, 23, of Jamestown was charged at 5:08 a.m. on Tuesday with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, aggravated driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation and passing through a red light. According to police, Adams was westbound on Route 394 in Ellicott when he passed through a red light, nearly striking a patrol car. Adams was issued appearance tickets and will be in court at a later date.

BEMUS POINT – Brooke M. Blanchard, 33, of South Erie Street, Mayville was charged at 1 p.m. on Wednesday with two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. The sheriff’s office had been investigating several burglaries which occurred in February on Overlook Avenue. A search warrant was executed on Blanchard’s apartment and located several items taken from two residences in Bemus Point. She is scheduled to appear in Chautauqua Court at a later date. The investigation is ongoing.


Robert C. Burch, 43, of Big Tree Road, Jamestown was charged with criminal mischief after it was determined he allegedly keyed or scratched the side of a vehicle not belonging to him while it was parked at Southwestern High School.


Luz M. Martinez, 34, of Cresent Street, Jamestown was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Martinez was taken into custody on a warrant for an incident May 5 at the Deb in Chautauqua Mall in which she and a co-defendant were found in possession of stolen merchandise. Martinez is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Busti Court.
