Bemus Point BOE To Gather
The Bemus Point Board of Education will conduct a special board meeting Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria, located at Maple Grove High School.
TEA Party Patriots Set Meeting
LAKEWOOD – Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots will hold its monthly general meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the Lakewood American Legion, 174 Chautauqua Ave., Lakewood. Topics to be addressed will be: Common Core, including a video by Glenn Beck, and an update on local efforts to get state legislators to revoke Common Core; a report on the German family who sought U.S. asylum in order to homeschool their children; a follow up on the controversy surrounding films FrackNation and GasLand; and discussion of Second Amendment issues, with an update on gun confiscation. The public is invited to attend.
Master Gardeners To Meet Tuesday
FREWSBURG – Jane Conroy will be presenting the final Chautauqua County Master Gardeners program at Myers Memorial Library in Frewsburg Tuesday, at 6:30 p.m. This week’s session is Water Quality with Plants. This will include a PowerPoint program. No registration is required and all materials are provided for this free program. AARP 844 To Install Officers
SALAMANCA – Salamanca AARP Chapter 844 will hold installation of officers at its next meeting on Wednesday, June 5 at noon at the Salamanca Senior Center, 18 Main St., in Salamanca. The officers to be installed by chapter member Helen Ward include the following: Mary Ellen Brahaney, president; Mary Oyer, treasurer; Patti Yehl, assistant treasurer; and Patricia O’Laughlin, Donna Gassman and Patricia Pawlowski, board of directors.
