Antique Equipment Assn. To Meet

The Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association will meet Tuesday at its grounds in Stockton at 7 p.m. Among the items of business to be discussed are improvements to the new pavilion, adding a porch to the museum, upgrading the restrooms, and other construction projects. Plans and publicity for the Aug. 17-19 Antique Equipment Show will also be considered. The show this year will feature the White family of tractors including tractors and equipment of such makes as Oliver, Cletrac, Hart Parr, Farquar, Cockshutt and Minneapolis-Moline.

The group met April 23 at the Busti Mill and were given a tour and demonstration of the restored milling machinery.

On May 11, the Association sponsored its first Plow Day across from the Stockton grounds.

Participation in local parades and celebrations by the Association and members and announcements of upcoming shows in the region of interest to members will also be considered.

The public is welcome at the meeting. Individual memberships are available at $7 per year or $10 family. The association is made up of collectors and enthusiasts of antique, obsolete, and curious tractors; stationary engines; farm, industrial, and shop equipment; electrical devices; tools; and earlier technology in general. The group has sponsored an annual show for the enjoyment and education of the public since 1975.
