Maple Grove’s Wefing, Marsh Win 800-Meter Title At CCAA Meet

OLEAN -Corey Wefing and Megan Marsh of Maple Grove were the 800-meter winners at the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Track & Field Championships at Olean Middle School on Friday.

Wefing recorded a 1:59.51 reading in the boys 800 run and Marsh a 2:19.13 in the girls 800 run.

Makenzie Evans and Chris Doubek of Randolph came in firsts in their specialties. Evans won the girls long jump (15-9) and Doubek claimed the boys pole vault (13-6).

Brittany Feldman of Southwestern captured the girls high jump (5-0).

Lauren Reyda of Fredonia won the girls 3,000 (10:51.1) in besting Hope Pietrocarlo of Maple Grove (10:56.5).

Adam Pecherzewski of Olean won the boys triple jump (43-5) and teammate John Panus took the boys 3,200 run (9:43.23).

Anna O’Neal of Franklinville claimed the girls discus (100-9) followed by Alexandria Anderson of Clymer-Sherman-Panama (99-9).

Roman Greco of Allegany-Limestone won the boys shot put (48-11) with Michael Bowers of Randolph finishing second (44-2).
