JBC Holds Canned Food Drive

Jamestown Business College students, faculty, and staff recently joined forces for a canned good drive to benefit Joint Neighborhood Project in Jamestown.

As part of a grant through the Feinstein Foundation, Joint Neighborhood Project receives money for every non-perishable food item that is donated. The college, as part of a week-long initiative, donated 700 items to the local organization.

Marcia Daly and Kathleen Gustafson, JBC instructors who organized the effort, said that once word of the effort spread, the results were immediate.

“We instantly saw enthusiasm from everyone involved in this effort, and that enthusiasm continued throughout the week, resulting in a great donation for the community,” they said.

Jamestown Business College offers business-focused associate and bachelor degrees and certificate programs that include targeted professional development activities.
