RANDOLPH – Marianne Carpenter, 40, of Elm Creek Road, Randolph, N.Y., passed away at 12:38 p.m. Saturday (May 18, 2013) at home with her family by her side.
She was born Sept. 10, 1972, in Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of Harry and Noreen D. Murphy Aldrich.
Marianne was a graduate of Mount Mercy Academy in Buffalo, received her bachelor’s in liberal arts from Buffalo State College and recently received her licensed practical nursing degree from Cattaraugus County BOCES.
She was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother, sister and friend who will be remembered for her strong faith and the piece of mind that she shared her faith with her children and family before her passing. Marianne was very active in her children’s lives and was always at their sporting events and activities. She was a Girl Scout leader in the Randolph Troop and was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Randolph.
She is survived by her parents of Buffalo; her husband, Michael J. Carpenter, whom she married on July 27, 1996, in Buffalo; four children: Nicholas Carpenter, Molly Carpenter, Corin Carpenter and Ryan Carpenter, all at home; her sister and best friend, Elizabeth Hill and husband Josh of Buffalo; and mother-in-law Diane Carpenter of Randolph; as well as many close friends and neighbors in Randolph.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Tues-day, May 21 in the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church St., Randolph. A rosary service by the St. Patrick’s Altar & Rosary Society will follow visitation at 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Randolph, with the Rev. Joseph Janaczek, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in the East Randolph Cemetery.
