Benefit To Be Held In Mayville
MAYVILLE – A benefit for Diane Thompson will be held today. The benefit will be at the American Legion in Mayville from 5-9 p.m. The admission for dinner and the event is $10. Dinner will be at 5 p.m. with a meat drawing, 32-inch Emerson TV giveaway and a Chinese Auction to follow. The Diane Thompson Benefit Fund has also been established at Greater Chautauqua Federal Credit Union in Mayville where cash donations will be accepted or checks can be made.
Gospel Concert Set For Sunday
ELLINGTON – The Ellington community Church, 5009 Thornton Road, Ellington, will host a gospel concert at 2 p.m. Sunday. Featured will be the Mountain Railroad Band with Maurice Brown, Bill Frost, Pete Peterson and Frank Jesmer. Refreshments will be served following the concert. The church is handicapped-accessible. LITTLE VALLEY – Joseph Keller, Cattaraugus County treasurer, has announced that the county’s annual property auction will be held today at the elementary school in Little Valley at 9 a.m. Close to 80 parcels will be up for auction. Cemetery Group Sets Meeting
The annual meeting of the Kiantone Maple Grove Cemetery Association will take place Monday at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, Kiantone Congregational Church, 646 Kiantone Road, Jamestown. All lot owners are invited to attend.
Legion To Host Breakfast
CELORON – The breakfast committee from the Herman Kent American Legion Post 777 in Celoron, is holding its monthly breakfast at the post Sunday. The full buffet with eggs, home fries, sausage, ham, French toast, Sausage gravy and Danish or a 777 three-egg omelet will be available for only $6/adult, $3/kids 10 and under, and the hours are 8:30-11:30 a.m.

The American Legion Herman Kent Post 777 will host a special dinner dance celebration in honor of armed forces with dinners served from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Dance music, provided by DJ’s Unlimited, will begin at 8 p.m. A special salute to all branches of the armed forces will be given.
