Lakewood Man Threatens Police, Charged
A Lakewood man is in Jamestown City Jail after threatening police and obstructing traffic Friday afternoon.
William R. Lindberg III, 51, was charged with disorderly conduct, harassment and resisting arrest. While in an unmarked police vehicle at the intersection of McDaniel and Harding avenues, officers observed Lindberg stop rapidly behind a vehicle at a red traffic light.
According to police, Lindberg allegedly exited his vehicle and approached the driver of the vehicle in front of him. He then began swearing at the driver and made threats, police said.
Officers activated their lights and confronted Lindberg.
According to the driver of the first vehicle, Lindberg had been following him for a while and was trying to fight him for an unknown reason.
During an investigation, Lindberg became aggressive with police and refused to comply with verbal commands. Lindberg then allegedly made multiple threats to kill officers.
