Robson Records Third Win Of Week

SHERMAN – Ryan Robson completed an outstanding week for Sherman, picking up his third win Friday when the Wildcats (4-8, 5-8) came through with a 3-2 victory over West Valley (5-7, 9-9) in Division 4 baseball action.

Robson, who pitched three games in four days, struck out 13, walked two and surrendered just four hits and helped his own cause with two hits, a stolen base and a run scored.

West Valley actually led 1-0 in the top of the second, but Sherman answered with two in the bottom of the frame and added a run in the fourth.

Also for the winners, Kyle Carpenter drove in two runs with an RBI, Colin Finch stole a base and scored and Travis Henry had a triple.

Starter Jared Ras doubled and also drove in a run while going the distance for West Valley, striking out six with three walks and gave up four hits. Cole Stanbro also had a double.
