Nolan Ditcher Lifts Cards To Victory

RANDOLPH – The Randolph Cardinals finished unbeaten in Division 2 by downing Cattaraugus-Little Valley, 39-14 in a Division 2 golf match Wednesday at Cardinal Hills.

Nolan Ditcher fired a 1-under 35 to pace the Cardinals (17-1, 12-0), while teammate Adam Ditcher shot a 3-over 39.

Nick Hudson shot a 44 to pace Chautauqua Lake to a 30-25 win over Frewsburg.

Nick Munella was the medalist with a 43 for Frewsburg.

BEMUS POINT – Dylan LaBarbera shot a 6-over-par 43 and Wil Lockwood was right behind with a 7-over-par 44 as Maple Grove (8-0, 14-2) stopped Clymer-Sherman-Panama (2-9, 2-11), 37-18, at the Bemus Point Golf Club.

Steven Walczak and Cole Munson led CSP with 48s.

FORESTVILLE – Cassadaga Valley won a pair of golf matches at Tri-County Country Club, as it defeated Forestville, 37.5-17.5 and Silver Creek, 35-20.

The Black Knights’ Dan Weimer was medalist as he shot a 4-over-par 40.

For the Cougars, Anthony Miller shot a 46 and was followed by Jarrett Blizzard (48), Nick Stern (51), Michael Lancaster (51) and Titus Miller (53).

The Hornets, who beat the Black Knights, 31-24, in a non-league match, were led by Lewis Markham and Logan Youngberg, as each shot a 52. Also for Forestville, Jason Egan carded a 53, Troy Torsell a 55 and Nick Ranft a 56.

Aside from Weimer’s 40, the Black Knights received 54s from Andrew Sweetman and Joey Donovan while Tyler Tulipane shot a 64 and Dan Sweetman a 67.



LAKEWOOD – Led by Chad Van Every and Cory Rodgers, Southwestern raised its Division 1 golf record to 8-0 and 9-0 overall.

Van Every shot a 3-over-par 38 and Rodgers was a stroke behind as the Trojans dropped Olean (6-2, 11-3), 31-23, at Maplehurst Country Club.

Wil Bathurst of Olean tied Van Every for medalist honors with a 38.
