Ashville Man Faces Drug Charge
An Ashville man was taken into custody by the Jamestown Police Department and charged with possession of marijuana.
On Friday, Charles J. Fredrick, 38, was found to be in possession of 27 grams of marijuana during a joint Operation Impact Detail.
According to a JPD report, the detail was set to check parolees and probationers to ensure their compliance with their assigned programs. During the detail, officers checked 40 residences and several alcohol establishments.
At 9 p.m., during a check of the Roadhouse Bar at 1250 E. Second St., officers charged Fredrick, who is not on parole or probation, with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana. He was transported to the city jail, where he was later released on bail.
The investigation is continuing, and more arrests are expected.
