Ripley Girls Roll To Victory Over Clymer

RIPLEY – Ripley (6-3, 9-3) scored five runs in the second inning and five more in the fourth in posting a 16-6 victory over Clymer in Division 4 softball on Monday.

Emily Steger went the distance for the Lady Eagles, tossing a five-hitter with seven strikeouts and a walk. She also helped her offense with a home run.

Also for the winners, Riley Hawkins slammed four hits and had two RBIs, and Kalisha Swoger had three hits.

For Clymer, Dani Reinwald delivered two hits and three RBIs while Jo-Linda Rhodes added two hits and took the loss on the mound, pitching six innings with two strikeouts and 11 walks.
