Greenhurst Man Charged For Allegedly Trashing Bar
GREENHURST – A Greenhurst man is in Chautauqua County Jail after police said he trashed a bar early Sunday morning.
State Police charged Donald Paulson, 21, with felony third-degree criminal mischief, two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, two counts of second-degree reckless endangerment and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Police were called to a bar in Greenhurst for a report of a disorderly subject. An investigation found Paulson became unruly after the bartender refused to serve him due to his intoxication level.
According to a police report, Paulson struck a door on his way out of the bar, causing damage to the window frame. Once outside, the Greenhurst resident allegedly picked up a large planter urn and threw it through the front window.
The urn, police said, landed next to some bar patrons. No injuries were reported, though some patrons were struck by glass, a police report said.
A bag containing seven grams of marijuana was found on Paulson during an investigation.
He was taken into custody and transported to police barracks in Jamestown. He was processed and arraigned in Ellicott Court and remanded to County Jail.
