Pool Tournament Set For Saturday

Moose Lodge 1681, 405 E. Fifth St., Jamestown, will host a double-elimination 8-ball pool tournament on Saturday. The registration fee is $10. There are 32 openings with cash prizes and a 100 percent payout. Pre-registration is required by calling 664-4909 or 720-5088. Special Meeting To Be Held

SALAMANCA – Mayor Carmen Vecchiarella has called a special meeting of the mayor and Common Council to be held Monday at 6 p.m. in the conference room of the city’s Municipal Building. The purpose of the meeting is to conduct interviews. The Common Council will consider a resolution to enter executive session for the purpose of discussing the employment history of a particular person. Official action may be taken.

SCOPE Meeting Is Tuesday

MAYVILLE – A general meeting will be held for the newly organized chapter of Chautauqua County Shooters Committee on Political Education at 7 p.m., Tuesday. Group meetings will be held at the VFW, 10 Memorial Drive, Mayville. The program will highlight a special speaker. SCOPE meetings will be held the second Tuesday of each month. Anyone interested in Second Amendment rights is urged to attend.

Foster Care

Session Set

To help the community better understand foster care, the Therapeutic Foster Care Program of G.A. Family Services located at 515 W. Fifth St. in Jamestown is having an information session on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. G.A. Foster children are between the ages of birth to 21 years old. Budget Hearing To Be Held

RANDOLPH – The Randolph Central School District will hold a public budget hearing at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the high school auditorium followed by a PTA-sponsored “Meet the Board Candidates” and a board of education meeting to follow. All three events are in preparation for the Tuesday, May 21, budget and board of education vote to be held in the high school cafeteria from 2-8 p.m. A board of education meeting will follow the vote at 8:15 p.m.

Park Playground Comm. To Meet

The Lillian Dickson Park Playground Committee will meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the pavilion at the park. The group will be planning summer activities, fundraising and improvements for the park and neighborhood. Volunteers and neighbors are encouraged to attend. VFW Ladies Aux. To Meet Tuesday

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 557 ladies auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Members attending should take food items for collection and coupons for the military.
