Falconer Lions Club To Hold Annual Blind Fund Appeal
The Falconer Lions Club’s annual Blind Fund Appeal will be mailed to 4,200 area residents.
This is the 36th year the direct-mail fundraising has been used, which benefits the Blind Fund, helping those in need with eye care, hearing care, youth programs and community projects.
The Falconer Lions Club continues to support the Falconer High School After-Prom Committee; Falconer Fire Department; Falconer High School Vigil; present a scholarship to a Falconer High School student pursuing a business degree following graduation; Temple Kids Closet; Stadelmaier Hearing Aid Fund; and sponsor a Little League team.
This past year the Falconer Lions established a large-print material project at the Falconer Library.
The Falconer Lions Club recently collected 716 pairs of used eyeglasses and 12 hearing aids that were sent to Third World countries.
Collection containers for used eyeglasses are located at M&T Bank, Community Bank, Jamestown Savings Bank and the Falconer Public Library.
