Loan Seminar Set For Tuesday

A microloan seminar will be held Tuesday at the Frank Bratt Ag Center, USDA Farm Service Agency, 3542 Turner Road, Jamestown, from 1-4 p.m. in conference rooms A and B.

Improv Group To Perform Saturday

The Unexpected Guests improv comedy group will perform Saturday at The Reg Studio Theater, 108 E. Third St. in Jamestown. The show starts at 9 p.m. General admission is $5 at the door.

Grange To Meet Monday

Ross Grange will meet Monday at the Falcon’s Nest Banquet Hall. 4-H members who were winners for the essay contest sponsored by Ross Grange, and their families, are invited to share a meal with grange members at 6:30 p.m. Each will read their essay and receive a check from the grange to help defray the cost of raising their animal. The business meeting will follow the program. Beverages and place settings will be furnished. Members are asked to bring a dish to share.

Driving Course Begins Monday

FREWSBURG – A five-hour pre-licensing driving course will be held at Frewsburg High School from 6-8:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. To pre-register, call the guidance office at 569-7026 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Salamanca Board To Meet

SALAMANCA – The Salamanca City Central School District Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. this Monday and Monday, May 20, in the Junior-Senior High School Large Group Instruction Room. Both meetings will move into executive session to discuss the employment history of a particular person or corporation and matters leading to the appointment of employment of a particular person or corporation. The board meeting on Tuesday, May 28, that was originally scheduled to be held at the Prospect Elementary School will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the Junior-Senior High School Large Group Instruction Room.

Gardeners To Offer Programs

Master Gardeners of Chautauqua County will be presenting three programs in May at Myers Memorial Library in Frewsburg. The Tuesday and May 21 programs are hands on so, those attending should wear gardening garb and be prepared to get dirty. On Tuesday the workshop is “Bucket Gardens” and May 21’s topic is “Composting with Worms.” The third program is a presentation on “Water Quality with Plants.” All programs will begin at 6:30 p.m. and last approximately one hour. The Master Gardener Program is a statewide program offered through Cornell Cooperative Extension. No reservations required and all materials are provided. Planning Board To Meet Tuesday
