Two Seek Seats On School Board

SALAMANCA – Lance Hoag and Kenneth (Skip) Nary are running for positions on the Salamanca City Central School board.

The election will be held May 21.

Hoag has served on the Board of Education since May 17, 2006, when he was elected to fill an unexpired term of another board member. His current term is up June 30, 2013. Hoag is a graduate of Salamanca City Central School District, and has two daughters that are also graduates of the district and a son that is currently a student. Hoag was involved in the building project, of which he is proud say he contributed to an excellent student environment on behalf of the community. Hoag sits on many community boards including the Salamanca Board of Public Utilities, Salamanca City Fire Commission and Salamanca Sabers football and cheerleading organization.

Nary resides in the city of Salamanca with his wife, Sharon and daughter, Tiffany. Nary has lived in Salamanca most of his life and graduated from Salamanca High School with honors. He has an older daughter that graduated from Salamanca as valedictorian and his younger daughter has four more years left at Salamanca before graduation. He is active on the Salamanca Bowling Association Board. He has served on the Salamanca Sabers Booster Club board and has served on the Salamanca Housing Authority Board. He enjoys hunting, bowling and coaching softball.
