Milspaw Leads Way In Senior Tour Action
RUSSELL, Pa. – The McDonald’s Senior Golf Tour traveled to Cable Hollow Golf Course on Monday and Roger Milspaw fired a plus 7 to earn first place in Flight A, using the modified Stableford scoring system.
In second was Shelly Grant at plus 6 and Brian Eckwahl was third with plus 5. Grant also had the low gross with 76.
Joe McCourt, Merle Elkin and Doug Spoto all shot plus 3 in Flight B and McCourt and Ron Juzdowski tied for low gross with 88.
Ray Head was first in Flight C with plus 7, Larry Spencer took second with plus 5 and Dick Barkstrom placed third with plus 3. Head also earned low gross honors with 88.
In Flight D, Terry Carlson had plus 6 to lead Flight C and also shot 96 for the low gross while John Depew and George Leopold followed with plus 3s.
Wayne Lind topped Flight E with plus 10, Boyd Matteson was second with plus 8 and Herb Hern took third with plus 6. Lind’s 96 was the low gross score.
In Flight F, Don Garfield and Tom Harte shared the top spot with plus 5s and Tom McConnon was next with plus 4. Dick Ingraham shot a 109 for low gross.
Closest-to-the-pin honors went to Elkin on No. 3 and Lind on No. 5.
The McDonald’s tour will visit Gowanda Country Club on Monday, with a start time of 9 a.m.
