Master Gardener Program To Hold Sale
The Master Gardener program of Chautauqua County will be holding its third annual Plant Sale and Expo, Saturday, in the Big Barn at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Frank Bratt Ag Center. The Center is located on Turner Road off of Route 60. The sale will begin at 9 a.m. with no early sales, and it will end at noon. Only cash or check will be accepted.
“We will have tried and true perennials, annuals, herbs and shrubs from the Master Gardeners’ gardens, and our MG volunteers will be available to answer questions,” said Betsy Burgeson, director of the MG program. “It’s the perfect time to get excited about the garden season and a great way to help us raise funds to keep our program going strong.”
In addition to the plants, there will be handcrafted Mother’s Day gardening gifts and rain barrels available for sale.
The Master Gardener program is a volunteer educational outreach program administered through Cornell Cooperative Extension. The goal of the program is to train enthusiastic volunteers who, in turn, educate and provide research-based information to the community on a wide variety of horticultural topics. The mission of Cornell Cooperative Extension is to enable people to improve their lives and communities through partnerships that put experience and research knowledge to work.
