Area Police Reports

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Samuel O. Stewart, 27, was charged at 12:09 a.m. on Friday with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated and speeding in a zone. Police conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle exceeding the speed limit. Stewart failed several sobriety tests and was determined to be intoxicated. Stewart was taken into custody and provided a breath sample that was more than twice the legal limit. He was released on uniform traffic tickets.

Robert J. Micciche, 59, was charged at 2:20 a.m. on Sunday with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se, failure to keep right and suspended registration. Police conducted a traffic stop on Foote Avenue and Camp Street after observing a vehicle cross the center line. Micciche was found to be intoxicated and provided a breath test that showed his blood alcohol content to be almost twice the legal limit. He was released on uniform traffic tickets.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

GERRY – Jacob L. Meier, 25, of Falconer, was charged at 2:04 a.m. on Sunday with driving while intoxicated, blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and speeding. Deputies took Meier into custody after stopping him for speeding on Route 60 in the town of Gerry. He was released and will be in court at a later date.

POMFRET – David J. Belovarac Jr., 22, of Bemus Point, was charged at 4:15 a.m. on Saturday with driving while intoxicated, blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and failure to maintain lane. Deputies took Belovarac into custody after he was observed swerving out of his lane while on Route 60 in the town of Pomfret. He was released and will be in court at a later date.
