Falconer Library Celebrates National Library Week
FALCONER – The Falconer Public Library recently celebrated the Month of the Young Child and National Library Week in its 3- and 4-year-old story hour classes.
Chris Wigren of the Chautauqua County Association for the Education of Young Children provided book markers for the children and encouraged the library to have a special reader at the story hour program. Carol Peterson, secretary of the Falconer Public Library board and a board member since 2001, read to children. She has also been a volunteer at the library since 1998. The children also enjoyed cookies for their snack that were donated by Maynard and Maxine McCullor.
While this year’s story hour classes are coming to an end, registration is open for classes beginning in September.
To sign up, visit the library’s front desk or call the library at 665-3504.
