Salamanca Records First Baseball Win

SALAMANCA – The third inning proved decisive as Salamanca (1-7, 1-9) recorded its first win of the season in Division 2 baseball on Friday.

The game was scoreless until the third inning when the Warriors scored five times en route to a 10-6 verdict over Silver Creek (2-8, 2-9).

Tyler Martin swatted a two-run double for the key hit during the third. Martin added an RBI single later for three RBIs.

Matt Crandall stroked three hits and Zach Harvey added two hits with each driving in runs in the three-run fifth. Crandall cracked a two-run double and Harvey had an RBI double in the win.

Zach Klisiewicz delivered two RBIs on two hits, Steve Marcey had a triple and Anthony Morales had a double for Silver Creek, which tallied three times in both the fifth and seventh innings.
