Enterline Pitches Ripley Past Sherman
SHERMAN -Ripley’s Trevor Enterline pitched seven solid innings in leading the Eagles to a 2-1 win over Sherman in Division 4 baseball on Friday.
Enterline went the distance, collecting eight strikeouts with four walks as he tossed a 5-hitter and put the Eagles on the board when he smacked a single in the first inning to drive in Eric Horseman.
Sherman (2-4) tied the game in the third as Ryan Myers’s single brought home Ryan Robson, who pitched a complete game with 11 strikeouts and four walks while giving up just three hits and one earned run in the losing effort.
Ripley broke the tie in the fifth when Michael Lisek reached on an error and D. Pope drove him in with a double to deep center.
Robson contributed two hits and stole two bases.
