Pine Valley Explodes With 11-Run Inning

SOUTH DAYTON – The Pine Valley Panthers (5-3, 7-4) used an 11-run fourth inning to get back into the win column with a 12-10 victory over Panama (2-5, 3-7) on Friday in Division 3 baseball.

Tyler Swanson , Taylen Snyder, Josh Kilburn and Spencer Sticek each had an RBI single in the fourth inning. Winfred Nelson highlighted the frame with a three-run single and Tyler Swanson added an RBI double to cap off the decisive inning.

After a 14-2 loss to Westfield on Thursday, a win was just what the Panthers needed.

Thomas Raiport finished the day with two hits with a double and two runs scored while Tyler Swanson went 3 for 4 with two RBIs.

Panama was led by Eric Schutt’s 3-for-4 effort with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored. Kyle McIntyre went 2-for-4, reach on an error, doubled and scored two runs in a losing effort.
